Welcome to the Pamela Project |
|
The Pamela Project is an open source software project dedicated to bringing emerging Information Card technology to popular open source frameworks. We create modules that can be installed and used by website administrators who are tired of putting the burden of another password onto their site members. Our code site contains installation, download, and upgrade instructions for each of our current plugins: If you are interested in finding out more about information cards, what they can do, and what advantages they have over other other methods of website access, read on! |

What is an Information Card? |

Information cards are a new, secure way for users to get to resources, and the Pamela Project is working to make it easy for webmasters to adopt this leading edge technology. As we get time, this site will contain information for all levels of people working with information cards - from the user who just need to know how to use an identity selector, to the developer who wishes to write new code to enable a new website for information card access. If you would like to kick the tires and see how information cards work, you can try our test blog - a Wordpress blog enabled with an information card plugin called "PamelaWare for WordPress". This code is currently in beta stage, stay tuned for version 1.0, which will be out soon. Users and comments on this test blog will be deleted periodically, but feel free to login and post comments. If you would like to leave a lasting comment on this technology, please check out the PamelaWare blog. We hope that through this site, people can come together and collaboratively contribute to the expansion of information card Relying Parties on the internet - the more of us there are, the better the standards will be for consistent user interface and for ease of use. |
